Main Contractor: RG Carter Project Value: £3.5 million Services: Design & Build Contract Service, Mechanical, Electrical DPL Group’s installation of the Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing services at Broomfield Care Home DPL Group’s were employed by RG Carter to carry out the design and installation of the Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing services at Broomfield Care Home. The enduring partnership with RG Carter has been firmly established through the delivery of top-notch M&E services across multiple projects. Broomfield Care Home is a new residential care home in Chelmsford, Essex. The care home features 137 No. bedrooms, self-contained studio suites with patios, along with communal living spaces, a commercial kitchen, staff/training rooms, a hydrotherapy pool, and an in-house cinema. There’s even a sweet shop and a toy shop for visitors to enjoy. The care home had its official opening on 31st January and is now accepting residents. Our role was to design and install a comprehensive Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) system to ensure a consistently comfortable environment for residents and the seamless operation of these spaces. During the design process, we ensured that every detail adhered to various regulations, collaborating closely with the client to fully understand the space and its surroundings. Services Mechanical systems included: LTHW Heating, Natural Gas, Gas Detection & Proving Systems, Domestic Hot & Cold Water Services, CAT 5 Water Systems, VRF & DX Systems, Natural Ventilation, Mechanical Ventilation, Automatic Controls, and Above Ground Drainage, Sanitaryware Electrical systems included: Interior & Exterior Lighting, Distribution Equipment and Switchgear, Fire Alarm, Door Access, CCTV, Induction Loops, Nurse Call, and Audio Visual Over 20 years in buildings infrastructure Name any industry, sector or type of building and we’ll have provided design, build and maintenance services for its power, light, heating, cooling, data, safety and security systems.
