Our dedication to the communities we serve has been a driving force behind our decision to sponsor local sports teams. 10 August 2023 4 min read 2023 Ipswich RFC Bike Challenge We were thrilled to sponsor the 2023 Ipswich RFC Bike Challenge which took place on Sunday 2nd July 2023. Participants were able to take on the Lions Tour (150k), 6 nations (90k) or Premiership (30k) routes, all of which offered a perfect blend of challenge and enjoyment. Beyond the thrill of the ride, what makes this event truly exceptional is the cause it supports. The My Name’5 Doddie Foundation, dedicated to raising awareness and funding for research into Motor Neuron Disease (MND), and the Ipswich Rugby Club. Ipswich Rugby Club DPL Group actively participated in the fundraising and installation of new floodlights for Ipswich Rugby Club as part of their “Light Up The Future” campaign. Our dedicated team played a pivotal role in gathering donations, supporting the Ipswich Rugby Club’s 150th-anniversary bike ride, and generously contributing to the installation of the floodlights without any additional cost. The collective effort of everyone involved in this endeavour has been nothing short of remarkable, and we are absolutely thrilled to have had the opportunity to contribute to such a noble and meaningful cause. “The team at DPL Group have gone above and beyond for our Light Up The Future campaign. Without them, none of this would have been possible” Henry Gaskin, Vice Chair of Ipswich Rugby Club Horizon Charity 5-a-side Tournament The DPL Group football team played in the Horizon Charity 5-a-side tournament on Thursday 13th July 2023. We went on to win the tournament, after a great comeback in the semi-finals from 4-0 down to win it on penalties!DPL Group was invited to take part in the event which raises money for St Helena, who help local people in North East Essex to face incurable illness and bereavement. We’re passionate about supporting vital work in our local community. Thank you Horizon Construction Group for hosting a much enjoyed charity football tournament.
