BTEC QCF Level 3 qualifications are designed to provide highly specialist work-related content. They give learners the knowledge, understanding and skills needed to prepare for employment or provide career development opportunities for those already in work.
Full/Part-time: Apprenticeship (Full Time)

Course Content
The course includes the following units split between the two years.

  • Construction Principles
  • Construction Design
  • Construction Technology
  • Health & Safety in Construction
  • Low Temperature Hot Water Systems
  • Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning
  • Provision of Primary Services
  • Building Services Science
  • Electrical Principles
  • Electrical Installation

Entry Requirements
The course is more likely to benefit applicants already working in the industry, however each candidate will be assessed on previous experience and qualifications including:

  • GCSE grades 4 (C) or above in at least five subjects but must include Mathematics and English Language
  • Work related experience and other sector related qualifications will be considered for mature applicants
  • Ideally you will be working in building services or a related sector
  • GCSE English Language (Grade 4 (C) or above)
  • GCSE Mathematics (Grade 4 (C) or above)
