Main Contractor: SizewellC Project Value: Undisclosed Services: Electrical, Mechanical DPL’s engineering team has been hard at work at one of the region’s biggest infrastructure projects – Sizewell C. The construction of the 3.2 gigawatt nuclear power station is well underway, after funding was secured for the project in July, 2025. Once operational, the power station is set to provide enough power for six million homes for the next 60 years. DPL has been contracted for a range of electrical and mechanical services as the power station, and its extensive infrastructure, is constructed. Our team has worked on a range of different areas, including the Ancillary Construction Area, the Main Construction Area, theTemporary Construction Area, Training Centre, Off Site Offices and Off Site Sectors. Work has included office/welfare re-furbs, de-commissioning and re-location of mobile buildings, new build training centres, utility compounds, external services and temporary/early welfare facilities. Precise details of our involvement will have to remain a mystery, as there are tight security restrictions on what we can divulge concerning a project of this type. However, what we can say is that it has been hugely rewarding to work on such an important infrastructure project in the East of England.
