National Infrastructure Project – Sizewell C DPL has been actively engaged in a significant national infrastructure endeavour for Sizewell C in Leiston, collaborating with TCi Construction Main Contractor: TCi Construction Project Value: Undisclosed Services: Electrical, Mechanical DPL Group’s installation of Mechanical and Electrical works at a national infrastructure project for Sizewell C. DPL were engaged locally on this project at Sizewell C, providing M&E services to TCi construction works. The facility comprises meeting rooms, open-plan offices, a café, and occupational health facilities. To meet the demand for immediate occupancy of the building, we delivered the project in a staged handover format. Result The project encompasses the provision of power and lighting throughout the premises using a conduit and dado trunking system. This installation integrates presence detection and time controls to enhance cost-effectiveness and energy efficiency. Furthermore, we have included containment solutions for various services such as data, fire alarms, and door access. The mechanical installation includes space infrared heating, zoned air conditioning, and local heat recovery units for fresh air throughout the building. An external service compound features an air source heat pump and cold water storage tanks, supplying water to the plant room and domestic hot water to all floors. Custom sanitary ware is installed to meet client needs, and an integrated building management system provides ease of maintenance of the services for the end users.
