What professional accomplishment are you most proud of? – Initially being part of a small business 17 years ago, with very few employees, then collaboratively working with a great team to drive and build a lasting family enterprise, and to become one of the largest and most respected businesses in East Anglia.
What do you enjoy most about working for DPL? – I enjoy the open work environment, and the opportunity to work with talented and passionate people, where every staff member is valued. We have built a great working culture where everybody is encouraged to have fun together, enjoy each other’s company and work hard to achieve their individual goals, which in turn makes for an enjoyable place for our staff to work and express themselves.

Management of M&E contracting department and overseeing all Project managers & engineers & Costing variations / additional works for current and future projects.
Management of labour resources, subcontractors & procurement of materials to deliver projects on time / budget
What professional accomplishment are you most proud of? – Delivering a multi-million-pound project at the port of Harwich in the space of 10 weeks on time & within the budget. Working hours were 24/7 to achieve this in such a short timescale.
What do you enjoy most about working for DPL? – The wide variety of work and clients we have the pleasure of working for.

What professional accomplishment are you most proud of? – Starting the contracting side adding the mechanical side from scratch, watching the company and the people within DPL grow

What professional accomplishment are you most proud of? – Delivering large commercial projects on time and within budget. Most recent achievements are working on Homerton College Dining Hall, Clare College Phase 1 B Old Court, Port of Felixstowe Inspection Facility, Gullwing Lowestoft, upgrades and refurbishments within the NHS.

What professional accomplishment are you most proud of? Completing a significant 6-month project associated with Sizewell C withinour first year of business. The project consisted of brand-new VRF technology and posed multiple working challenges such as no hot works, extended working days and weekend working. Only being a 6-month old business when the project began and naturally having a very small team at this time meant that 100% commitment & dedication was required to deliver this on time. It was a very challenging but rewarding project to deliver on behalf of DPL Group.
What do you enjoy most about working for DPL? Although the Group has grown significantly in recent years, it has still maintained the ‘family run’ business approach,which makes a real difference in your workplace happiness in my opinion. Support and advise is available in abundance which allows you to carry out your role with confidence.

What professional accomplishment are you most proud of? – Promotion from Estimator to Estimating Manager has been one of the highlights of my career with DPL. With the role of Manager, I can monitor and see the estimating team grow with their abilities and knowledge of the construction industry. It’s great to be able to help out with the progression of their careers. A great team!
Winning projects, that goes without saying really. The higher-value ones with big numbers give you a kick, but any tender success gives you a moment to be proud.
Building good relationships with customers, suppliers etc. The bottom line is always important in this industry, however, building good relationships with those that matter, can sometimes give you an edge over competitors
What do you enjoy most about working for DPL? – The office atmosphere is second to none. All staff and colleagues are friendly, knowledgeable and willing to help each other out, This goes for all departments, Pre-Construction, Design, Construction, small works etc. The list goes on. I believe this is the main reason for the success of the Company, an open-door policy where Directors and Management are approachable by all. There’s also a great “work hard & have fun” element throughout the Company.

What professional accomplishment are you most proud of? – I passed my professional exams over 35 years ago (my membership number is 2 digits). My daughter Ellie is studying for the same exams, I am proud that she is following in my “number” steps
What do you enjoy most about working for DPL? – Having worked for a number of companies over the years, the team at DPL is the best I have worked with. You always feel supported, and your point of view is listened to. Work hard or play hard, it’s never dull at DPL

What professional accomplishment are you most proud of? – Qualified vehicle technician rising to group aftersales manager roles within the motor trade at franchised main dealers, I also hold a European transport manager CPC qualification
What do you enjoy most about working for DPL? – Working with professional staff across all departments and the excellent team spirit everyone shows

What professional accomplishment are you most proud of? – 23 years of experience in safety: I have had many accomplishments, but the standout one for me is changing the safety culture within businesses and making a safer environment that sends everyone home every day.
