Port of Felixstowe
Day to day activities for the maintenance team include port call outs, ranging from faulty light fittings to loss of power to buildings and sub stations. Working on a full range of the electrical systems means that our staff have, to have a broad range of skills and experience to be able cope with all manner of electrical issues and because of the unique environment all of our staff have to have the best quality training.
Our teams have access training in to all of the sensitive and hazardous areas on the port, from working at height on the 100’s of cranes and lighting towers that cover the entirety of the port, to working in confined spaces, on jetties and inside live substations.
On DPL’s second stint maintaining on this prestigious electrical contract, we have a team based permanently on site to deal with all planned and reactive maintenance. This contract has always been a challenging and varied role for whoever takes it on, but our onsite team headed by Dan O’Sullivan, we have provided a consistent and high quality service for every job undertaken.
