Fleet and Plant Manager

We are looking for a Fleet and Plant Manager to come and join our team here at DPL Group
Full/Part-time: Full Time
Salary: TBC
Location: Ipswich

Main Duties:

To effectively and efficiently manage the group’s Fleet of vehicles and the day to day management of the company’s tooling and equipment.


Duties:

  • Ensure that the company vehicles remain legally able to be driven on the road by scheduling MOT and servicing.
  • Liaising with the drivers to ensure appointments are upheld.
  • Undertaking periodic interim vehicle inspections, tyres, levels, lights condition etc.
  • Arranging for vehicle repairs and servicing.
  • Ensuring that the trackers are operational, including up to date vehicle allocations, and managing the over-speeding/driver reports.
  • Controlling Tooling and Plant in and out of the stores.
  • Completing formal tooling and plant inspections, (training will be given as required).
  • Undertaking plant stock takes.
  • Assisting with vehicle stock takes as required.
  • Management of company records regarding plant.
  • General housekeeping of stores and yard.
  • Assisting the store manager as required by delivering items to site receiving deliveries.
  • Managing company fuel cards

 

Experience Required:

  • Experience in managing fleet and transport operations.
  • Experience using Word and Excel is essential.

  • Excellent Organisational & Communication Skills.
  • Process driven with an eye for detail.
  • Able to work calmly and effectively under pressure.
  • Good attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Streamline processes, working alongside the management team to continuously improve our systems and processes.
  • Reviewing estimates, comparison checks and selecting where the repairs are carried out based on the most efficient and best option by cost at the time.

 

Interpersonal & Communication Skills:

  • High Standard of Oral and Written Communication.
  • Customer service skills.

  • Associate Director / Projects
